Sashiko is a Japanese embroidery technique, originally used to patch or reinforce work clothes. Its current use is rather more decorative.
Asa no Ha is a traditional Japanese pattern, often seen on sober winter kimonos, and also on men's yukata (summer cotton kimono). It represents overlapping hemp leaves.It's also one of the most used Sashiko (traditional stitching of often simple white yarns on indio fabrics).
