Note: Uchikake, or bridal kimono, are some of the most ornate garments in the realm of traditional Japanese ceremonial clothing. They are heavy and thick with padding, and extend to the floor.
The bride wears it as a coat over the kimono.

A gorgeous piece, decorated with large cranes and Shôchikubai motifs. All motifs are entirely embroidered with silk yarns.
The word Shôchikubai refers to the pine trees-bamboos-plum trees combination, symbols of happiness
